Caleb Curfman is a Community College History Instructor who works to promote student choice and voice in their education. Teaching in higher education since 2018, Caleb brings an early career perspective to the college teaching world.
Caleb has continued to grow as an instructor by attending training opportunities and receiving additional credentials. He is a Quality Matters certified instructor as well as a Hyflex Teaching and Learning Badge recipient. Caleb works to demonstrate the importance of the learning process in his classes as well as his continued training in his profession.
Caleb is a strong believer in sharing resources and providing access to higher education. He has presented at college and university faculty in-services nationally and keynoted several regional and local educator conferences. Focuses include equitable learning experiences, open source advocacy, and authentic learning activities and experiences.
The area of assessment and specifically authentic or creative assessment brought Caleb’s work to the national stage with two appearances on The Lecture Breaker’s Podcast with Barbi Honeycutt (Episode 71 & Episode 88).
